Brandon Johnson just spilled the tea on a bone-chilling end-game straight out of North Korea

Some Democrat politicians have no problem exposing their radical colors for all to see.

No one thought one of them would dare admit wanting to go this far, though.

But Brandon Johnson just spilled the tea on a bone-chilling end-game straight out of North Korea.

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was the first Windy City mayor in decades to lose a reelection bid.

Some Chicagoans were hopeful that her replacement would get the city back on the right track, but it turns out that her successor is even more radical.

Mayor Brandon Johnson has doubled down on the pro-crime policies that have made Chicago one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

And one of Johnson’s “solutions” to high crime is collectivized grocery stores.

A popular leftists complaint in recent years has been about so-called food deserts—areas for which, usually due to high crime, there are no grocery stores in close proximity.

Of course many American suggest the reality is that it’s leftist policies that cause them.

Nevertheless Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has a final solution in mind that many will see as nothing short of a genocidal starvation plan.

Johnson wants city-owned grocery stores in these parts of town where grocery stores have been forced to leave.

Don’t worry government is surely far better equipped to rob citizens and make them go hungry than ordinary street thugs

The Mayor said, “All Chicagoans deserve to live near convenient, affordable, healthy grocery options. We know access to grocery stores is already a challenge for many residents, especially on the South and West sides. A better, stronger, safer future is one where our youth and our communities have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. My administration is committed to advancing innovative, whole-of-government approaches to address these inequities.”

But until the underlying areas are addressed, the city-owned grocery stores are going to have the same problems.

In fact, the problems will only get worse because government projects don’t go out of business when they fail; they get more funding.

Meet your friendly new neighborhood grocers’ partners

Johnson announced a partnership with the Economic Security Project to look into the idea of collectivized stores.

Economic Security Project senior adviser Ameya Pawar argued, “The city of Chicago is reimagining the role government can play in our lives by exploring a public option for grocery stores via a municipally owned grocery store and market…Not dissimilar from the way a library or the postal service operates, a public option offers economic choice and power to communities.”

By “reimagining,” Pawar means rehashing old and bad communist ideas.

Stores are leaving high-crime areas because the cost of doing business is too high, and there are safety concerns for employees.

Instead of burning taxpayer dollars on city-owned grocery stores, Johnson could focus on getting crime under control by keeping repeat criminals in jail instead of excusing their bad behavior.
