The already crime-plagued city of Chicago has been particularly hard hit by this crime wave, with dozens of shootings affecting the Windy City every week.
But now Brandon Johnson is outraged after one man flipped the script on a 20-year-old perp.

For decades now, the city of Chicago has suffered from rampant violent crime, which causes Chicago residents to live in a constant state of fear.
Instead of fighting back against this crippling crime problem, the radical far-left politicians elected to “serve” the city of Chicago have done everything in their power to punish law-abiding gun owners, while making it harder than ever to lock up criminals.
The other week, a law-abiding gun owner and concealed carry permit owner was forced to take matters into his own hands after a career criminal attempted to steal his car at gunpoint.
According to Fox News, a 20-year-old later identified as Darick Benson, and a female partner ordered a ride on a ride share app, and when their ride arrived, they attempted to rob their driver at gunpoint.
As the carjackers drove off, the victim jumped out of the vehicle and fired three shots at the suspects.
The suspects did not get far as the victim still had the key fob in his pocket, thus disabling the vehicle.
The suspects then fled on foot, leaving crucial evidence such as the firearm and cell phone behind in the vehicle.
Police later apprehended the couple, and as it stands Darick Benson is being held without bail due to a prior car theft charge.
Fortunately, the victim suffered no serious injuries during the attack.
Extreme far-left Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has not commented on this case and is not expected to.
As crime rises, more Americans are choosing to arm themselves
Crime plagues nearly every single community across the nation, and as time goes on, the crimes get more common and more vicious.
As a result, more and more Americans are choosing to arm themselves.
In fact, at least 13 women used a firearm to defend themselves across the nation from late July to August according to a number of local news reports.
Americans are afraid for their lives, and due to the pro-crime policies passed by the radical left, citizens can no longer depend on law enforcement.
The right to bear arms is a fundamental American right, and it is about time that Americans start exercising it.
