Blue cities are dealing with spikes in crime.
The crime sprees have spread to all parts of town.
And this “Boys in Blue” star thought he was safe on a LA corner but quickly found out otherwise.
Los Angeles is one of many blue cities getting hit hard where residents have been hit hard by violent crimes, including robberies and burglaries.
Liberals have been able to wall themselves off in ritzy parts of town and isolate themselves from the ramifications of their own ideology, but that layer of protection is fading.
Get ritzy Rojas’s stuff
Even rich people are feeling the sting of rampant crime.
And a Major League Baseball player on the Los Angeles Dodger just had a living nightmare come to life.
Fox LA reported the details on how after a recent win, things “took a turn for the worse for one of the ‘Boys in Blue.’”
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas, returned to his Lamborghini that he’d parked in a lot on downtown LA intersection and had his night immediately soured.
According to officials, the 34-year-old Dodgers shortstop left his Lamborghini at the parking lot at West Olympic Boulevard and South Broadway as he and his family celebrated at a nearby restaurant following a Dodgers’ win earlier that evening.
They returned to the parking lot to find the luxury car shattered and the side passenger window gone.
$1,400 worth of items were stolen.
Among these was Rojas’ mother-in-law’s pocketbook containing her iPhone, credit cards, ID, and other valuables, LAPD police officials said.
And everyone else’s across LA
Occurrences like this have become all too common in Los Angeles.
Ever since the 2020 riots, crimes like follow-home robberies have skyrocketed.
In 2021, LAPD reported at least 133 follow-home robberies from high-end shops on Rodeo Drive.
Criminals scope out jewelry stores and luxury clothing outlets, then follow the patrons back to their homes in areas like Beverly Hills.
Dorit Kemsley of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was robbed at gunpoint in her home after one such incident.
In addition to that, flash-mob robberies are increasing in frequency.
Beverly Hills gets real with off the rack moments
Recently, dozens of suspects robbed a Nordstrom store in the suburbs.
After the incident, leftist Mayor Karen Bass remarked, “What happened today at the Nordstrom in the Topanga Mall is absolutely unacceptable. Those who committed these acts and acts like it in neighboring areas must be held accountable. The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to work to not only find those responsible for this incident but to prevent these attacks on retailers from happening in the future.”
But liberals in leadership seem unwilling to do what needs to be down in order to rein in crime.
It begins with reversing pro-crime policies that incentivize bad behavior from repeat offenders.
