There are few aspects of Western Democracy that are as crucially important as voting.
Democrats are well aware of this and changing voting laws to make it easier for people who should not be voting to vote is one of their top priorities.
But voters are furious over this preposterous voting scheme.
Democrats want to give every single illegal alien voting rights
Most Democrats have made it very clear that they avidly support illegal immigration as well as giving illegal immigrants the rights of citizens.
One right that many Democrats support giving to illegal aliens is voting.
Voting has been a right that is explicitly reserved for American citizens for hundreds of years, but Democrats are desperate to change this.
One such Democrat is Connecticut state Rep. Juan Candelaria.
Several weeks ago, Rep. Juan Candelaria introduced a bill in the Connecticut House that would effectively give illegal aliens the right to vote in local and state elections.
One of Rep. Juan Candelaria’s Democrat colleagues, Rep. Enrique Sanchez, followed that proposal up with a plan to give counties the option to give these illegal aliens voting rights.
“This act would authorize cities and towns, by ordinance, to allow all their residents to vote in municipal elections for municipal officeholders regardless of the immigration status of their residents,” the proposal from Sanchez reads.
If this measure is approved by the Democrat-dominated Connecticut state Legislature and signed into effect by Democrat Governor Ned Lamont, then it could give thousands of illegal aliens voting rights.
Other states and localities that have approved similar measures include New York City, Washington D.C., and Montpelier, VT.
Fortunately, the New York Supreme Court shot Down New York City’s measure.
Meanwhile in Congress, which has ultimate oversight authority over Washington D.C. local government, House Republicans recently voted down the D.C. Council’s measure.
Conversely, the Vermont Supreme Court is allowing the Montpellier measure, which gives voting rights to illegal aliens and other foreign nationals, to move forward as planned.
Every American should be outraged by this assault on Democracy
These attempts to allow foreign nationals and illegal aliens to vote is an attack on American democracy.
Over the years, millions of Americans have worked very hard to become naturalized citizens, which gives them the right to vote.
But in Montpelier, Vermont, and potentially some counties in Connecticut, illegal aliens can simply skip the line and have their voices heard.
Legal challenges are likely to come in the very near future, but given the liberal makeup of the Connecticut Supreme Court, it is not clear whether or not this measure would be shot down.
The citizens of Connecticut will need to step up if they hope to stop this bill from being approved.
