The radicals are taking over the Democrat Party.
So-called moderates have been forced to get on board.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blindsided a key Democrat with one jaw-dropping statement.
AOC lashed out at a soon-to-be nonagenarian Senator
California Senator Dianne Feinstein has been facing calls to step down as her health seems to be deteriorating.
Feinstein, who turns 90 years old in June, reportedly has dementia and has been absent from the Senate, giving the Democrats a slim 50-49 majority.
Democratic Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was asked during an AMA (ask me anything) session about Feinstein, and she called for the California Senator to “retire.”
Ocasio-Cortez said that Feinstein “should retire. I think criticisms of that stance as ‘anti-feminist’ are a farce. Her refusal to either retire or show up is causing great harm to the judiciary – precisely where [reproductive] rights are getting stripped. That failure means now in this precious window Dems can only pass GOP-approved nominees.”
In a Bluesky AMA, @AOC says Dianne Feinstein should retire and that "criticisms of that stance as 'anti-feminist' are a farce.

Ocasio-Cortez’s treatment of Feinstein is precisely what happens when Democrats find someone no longer useful.
Under any other circumstances, Ocasio-Cortez would absolutely call criticism of a female politician “anti-feminist.”
But leftist elites get to rewrite the rules however they see fit.
Senator Feinstein drew AOC’s ire after she humiliated key Ocasio-Cortez allies when they had children dress her down
They use slanders like racism and sexism as a means of shutting up opposition.
Feinstein also did not endear herself to the hard left when she dismissed radical environmentalists in her office.
The activist group Sunshine Movement used young children in order to guilt Feinstein into supporting Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, but the senator did not take the bait.
Feinstein said, “There’s reasons why I can’t, ‘cause there’s no way to pay for it…I don’t agree with what the resolution says. That’s part of it. That resolution will not pass the Senate, and you can take that back to whoever sent you here…[T]he key to good legislation is to tailor something that you write so that it can pass, and you can get a step ahead.”
Mitch McConnell called the Democrats’ bluff and brought the Green New Deal to a floor vote.
The bill went down in flames 57-0; Democrats were so afraid of taking a position on it that they simply voted present.
Feinstein continued, “I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I know what I’m doing…You come in here and you say, ‘It has to be my way or the highway.’ I don’t respond to that…I’ve gotten elected. I just ran…I was elected by almost a million-vote plurality, and I know what I’m doing. So, you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.”
This is how @SenFeinstein reacted to children asking her to support the #GreenNewDeal resolution — with smugness + disrespect.

Ocasio-Cortez did not waste the opportunity to take a clear shot at Senator Feinstein.
