Now Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA) – the highest-ranking House Democrat behind Jeffries – would be suffering from shame if this was another era given the actions of her progeny.
Katherine Clark’s son was arrested in Boston for assaulting an officer and defacing a monument during an Antifa riot on Saturday night.
Riley Dowell, 23, was detained by Boston police after he allegedly spray painted “No Cop City” and “ACAB” (All Cops are Bastards) on the Parkman Bandstand Monument in the Boston Common.
News reports of this occurrence from other outlets may lead to confusion as Dowell now identifies as transgender.
Democrat Whip’s son charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and destruction of personal property
Boston police reported that while they were attempting to place Dowell under arrest, protesters encircled the small detachment of law enforcement and struck an officer.
The Police Department noted in an official statement, “During the arrest of Jared Dowell, a group of about 20 protesters began to surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill. While interfering with the arrest of Jared Dowell, an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.”
According to Breitbart News, “Dowell was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, destruction or injury of personal property, and damage of property by graffiti/tagging, and is expected to appear in Boston Municipal Court, according to the department. While the police did level an assault charge against Dowell, it is unclear from the department’s statement if Dowell was the one who hit the officer.”

In a tweet, Clark wrote, “Last night, my daughter was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts. I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting. This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process.”

It’s encouraging that Clark didn’t throw the cops under the bus over the ordeal as is often the case when Democrats and those close to them have brushes with the law, but a simple, “I condemn this sort of violence and destruction” would have been even more welcome.
This is especially true given that Clark is now the second-highest-ranking Democrat in the US House.
Given the proclivities of the leftist thugs, this probably won’t be the last we hear of Dowell.
